Lumber is being delivered today, because you know the world is beautiful, so beautiful, and I just can’t hide how I feel. Nothing can take that away, because you make the world so beautiful.
We were restless, but we did get the inside forms on this wall and that one right there. That’s a good start, and everything is lining up perfectly. The measurements are good. We’ve got eight-inch stem walls, and the inspector is here. Wish us luck, because you know the world is beautiful.
Construction Process
We’re doing the last section of the bottom tier. Our plan is simple: we have a ladder on each side, all the floor joists ready. We will use a bulldozer bucket to lift them up in the center. One person will be on each side, setting them in place, nailing them onto the next one.
As soon as we get three or four up there, we’ll probably put a sheet of OSB so we can walk around. And it just continues repetitively like this. We think we have thirty-five of them to do.
Finishing Touches
Thanks, this is for the stairs. It looks great.
Hold the strap; be careful while working on the upper sections. Everything fits perfectly, like a glove. The wood on the gray looks really good, providing a beautiful contrast.
The entire puzzle is coming together, and we can see the vision clearly. Monster trucks going down the ramp is just the beginning of the fun.
Off-Grid Living Progress
We moved off-grid about two years ago, and this is the progress of our house so far. There are many previous videos detailing the building of utilities and life off-grid.
A lot of our success is thanks to friends and family who helped during this journey. Their support made achieving this dream possible.
